Welcome to this new feature of the RGCF website – 'Life & Times'
The idea behind this letter is to bring a relevant comment / thought each month to encourage all who read it into drawing closer to the One who makes all things possible. I cannot go further without acknowledging the help and support of David & Sue Tucker in their work making this 'new' website possible. Thanks to you both.
What and who we are as a church are covered in the pages of this site, but the heart of what God is saying to us in the present will be conveyed through this message.
If you have no church background, or have not been to church, for whatever reason, for a long time, you are greeted with love. You will also be greeted with love if and when you visit our Centre. We at RGCF believe that church should be at he heart of any community, perhaps as it used to be 100+ years ago, displaying family love and acceptance. Although 'church' in some places may not seem as relevant to society in the new millennium, the message we bring is as relevant as it was 2000 years ago when Jesus brought the words of life and hope through God's Love, to a lost world.
Strong family was always at the heart of God's plan for a healthy and safe society, but as we know so well, family and relationship breakdown is tearing society apart at an alarming rate. It is clear that society needs mending, and we can't do it on our own, politicians can't do it either. If you want a shoe mended you go to a cobbler, for building repairs you go to a builder; the message from us to Rockwell Green is God, through His Son Jesus Christ mends broken lives. God is longing to put damaged people back together, and He is doing that in our church family in these very days. The invitation is for YOU to come 'taste and see how good the Lord is,' hope to see you soon.
